Increasingly, the stainless core drills and punches manufactured by Technical Innovations for catheter and device makers are being used for tissue cutting purposes. TI has modified existing cutting tools and designed new cutters to meet the requirements of tissue cutting. Applications include coronary by-pass procedures, tissue sampling, corneal and cartilage harvesting, biopsies and hair transplants. Cutting edge styles, diameters, lengths and shapes vary with each application. (Refer to the “Cutter Tip Styles” section of this website.) TI makes cutters as small as .005" in diameter and as long as 180 cm in length to meet the specifications of surgical and medical device makers. TI will provide valuable R&D and design experience to develop a tissue cutting tool to meet your requirements.
