Technical Innovations (TI) announces the release of the next-generation, automated hole-making systems.
The CL2 is a completely redesigned system and will include all the features of the previous automated CL system along with many new features requested by our customers. Some of these new features include brushless drilling-motor design suitable for controlled-environment production areas, increased pattern and hole quantity capacity, pattern recall by pattern number or part number (up to 8 digits), 16 speed keys for immediate recall of highly used patterns, password protection for edit modes, in-process pause and abort commands, and manual mode functions for setup and testing. |
Offering enhanced position accuracy, improved cycle times, smaller footprint and less weight compared to previous machines, the CL2 can be configured as an automated 3-axis (with manual y-axis), 4-axis or 4-axis with Tandem Rotary Grasper system. Optional components are readily available to meet performance requirements for application-specific functions. New to the CL2 is the ability to quickly convert from a Smart DrillerTM to a Smart PuncherTM with TI's newmodular design. The interchangeable heads results in a single machine now being able to perform the operations previously requiring two completely separate systems. In addition to the redesigned CL2 Automated System, the LT Series and Smart QuillTM Automated Systems have also received updates as well. The Smart DrillerTM LT and Smart PuncherTM LT now incorporate membrane switch technology and updated LED for a better operator experience and the Smart Driller LT and Smart Quill Driller/Skiver feature the new brushless drilling motor design suitable for controlled-environment production areas. As always, TI will demonstrate the hole-making ability of these machines through its free evaluation service. Just send us your tubing and specifications and TI will return your tubing to you with holes made to specification1. Along with your tubing, TI will provide information on the drill or punch used to make the holes, the processing characteristics and a quotation for the recommended equipment for your application.
